Who we are
After many months of searching in 1998, we finally found our dream virgin property of 70 acres. We started to carve a road from the entry gate to where our house would be built. In the process of clearing a piece of land for drainage, we were left with a small clearing which was to become our vegetable garden. This was our first attempt at growing anything. Our garden overflowed that first season, and we shared the bounty with family, friends and neighbors. Soon word got out about our vegetables, and chefs started calling and asking if they could order some of our vegetables.
That same year, we added one more garden and planted greens and root vegetables. Eventually with the help of my kids on weekends and a hired helper, we were producing and selling to a few restaurants and a hotel. We never had enough to satisfy all our customers and we kept expanding until today, where we have 25 acres of vegetables and flowers, producing for markets, wholesalers and restaurants in the Houston and Austin area.
